Different Tastes Wins Their Eighth CATIE Award

International Catering Chef of the Year-2005 awarded

Different Tastes, Jon Riley has captured Chef of the Year honors. The CATIE winners (Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence) were revealed at the ICA CATIEs' Gala on January 25th 2006 during the catersource® 2006 Educational Conference.
Different Tastes is a thirteen-time finalist and
now eight-time winner of the
CATIE. Different Tastes is a two-time
winner of Catering Magazine's
"NATIONAL CATERER OF THE YEAR."
For fair judging, caterers are not allowed to identify themselves, which
allows every entry an equal opportunity and consideration.
Different Tastes has been named as a finalist for the
Event Solutions 2005
Spotlight Award as Caterer of the Year. This award is presented to the
caterer whose work in on or off-premise catering is exceptional in all
aspects. The judging criteria include the creativity, menu design,
innovation vs. budget, food management skills and presentation of events
showcased, as well as the candidate’s attention to customer service, ability
to control quality and overcome challenges, and his or her ability to work
successfully with a team. Voting will be held online from Wednesday, June 1
2005 through midnight on Friday July 15, 2005. Presented in Atlanta, August
25, 2005.
Different Tastes has been named as a finalist for the
Event Solutions 2005
Spotlight Award as Samaritan of the Year. This award is presented to an
event professional (individual or company) who has demonstrated exceptional
generosity in the donation of time, talent and resources to help those in
need. The formal judging criteria include the candidate’s level of caring,
impact, donation and time commitment, as well as his or her level of
involvement in non-profit organizations and/or events. Voting will be held
online from Wednesday, June 1 2005 through midnight on Friday July 15, 2005.

Different Tastes is back at it again and has won another
two distinguished CATIE (Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence)
awards this year for 'Most Innovative Food
Centerpiece or Design' and 'Innovative Mixology' joining the
already large CATIE family here at Different Tastes.
Different Taste also received five CATIE awards in 2004. Jack accepted these awards in Sarasota, Florida at the annual conference of the International Caterers Association on behalf of the talented, dedicated, and creative staff of Different Tastes.

Different Tastes Wins National Caterer of the Year
Different Tastes won the prestigious
2004 National Caterer of the Year from
Catering Magazine. The
Award was given to a nominated caterer who featured
innovative food trends, innovative approaches and concepts,
prospered in a challenging economy, made significant
charitable contributions, and provided customer service
beyond reproach.
